Even the coldest of hearts couldn't be warmed by these clever marketing campaigns.
As Valentine's Day is just around the corner, we thought we would take a look at previous Valentine's Day-related Marketing Campaigns. So, here are four campaigns we love...
4 Valentine's Day Marketing Campaigns We Loved
1. Innocent
On Valentine's Day 2012, Innocent made sure you could send something a lot better than a card. Innocent got their customers to create 'love labels' on which they could personalise the Innocent smoothie label for their special someone.
I guess nothing says 'be mine' better than a smoothie!
2. Not On The High Street
Last Valentines Day (2014), Not On The High Street asked the nation to share their own love story. With the hashtag #LoveYourStory people could share their love stories with the world - aww!
3. O2
In 2013, O2 helped spread the love on Valentines Day with a Social Media campaign that encouraged users to Tweet their loving messages along with the hashtag #O2TweetHeart. The family-friendly messages were shown on a screen in the O2 shops and there was £500 Malmaison Hotel gift voucher up for grabs along with 20 runner up prizes!
4. Coca-Cola
If smoothies are not your thing, Coca-Cola created the 'Invisible Vending Machine' in 2014 that would only #ShareACoke with couples on Valentine's Day!
One campaign that wasn't so warmly received...
These campaigns don't always come up smelling of roses. This tongue-in-cheek IKEA ad (2013) borders on the inappropriate (even if it did get a few giggles in the office)...
Valentine's Day is of course a day for love, romance and happiness so we wish you all a happy Valentine's weekend! If you spot any marketing campaigns over the weekend that you love (or hate) tweet us them at @ThriveHQ!
