For those of you know don't know Taco Bell is an American fast food chain, serving tex-mex food to over 2 billion customers each year! However, for this blog we're more interested in their tweets than their tacos...

With over 1.54 million Twitter followers and nearly 10,000,000 likes on Facebook it goes without saying that they know what they are doing! So, without further ado, here are six things that Taco Bell do on Twitter that we just LOVE!

1. Sharing the love

One thing Taco Bell can certainly do is tell their customers how much they love them, who wouldn't enjoy getting a nice 'I love you' from their favourite fast-food company!?

So if you want to engage with your customers more online, why not try telling them how much they mean to you?

2. Using one social media to promote another account - clever!

Taco Bell have used their Twitter account to promote their Snapchat account and encouraged their followers to engage with their Snapchat account as well as via Twitter.

Adopt this tactic, or at least consider it, if your business has numerous social media platforms.

3. Jumping on current trends

Recently, Taco Bell have been voicing wishes for the iOS emojis to include a taco too, so when the latest update did not include the taco emoji, Taco Bell took to Twitter to share their feelings with their followers.

This is a great way to use social media because it is up-to-date, relevant news that the company is sharing their opinion on.

4. Engaging with their customers, the good and the bad

A lot of companies will agree that dealing with negative comments on social media can be quite difficult. Taco Bell chose to try to shine a light on to their negative comments and it works!

But we know Taco Bell, like most companies prefer to respond to their positive comments (which they have a very high percentage of!)

Follow in Taco Bell's footsteps and make sure to respond to your customers, no matter what they have to say.

5. Ad campaigns

Taco Bell have certainly created amazing campaigns through social media. This helps raise brand awareness and helps you to grow your online presence. One if their recent campaigns, #BreakfastDefector caught the eye of Xbox, this will of increased Taco Bells online presence along with Xbox's online presence!
