Event: 'Marketing On A Zero Budget' with Teesside University

On Friday 10, October, we were invited to hold a six hour workshop for businesses of all levels and from varying sectors.

Alongside New Results Training, who are also delivering workshops about varying stages of the marketing and sales funnel, I had the pleasure of delivering this session to some great MDs and Marketing Managers.

Undoubtedly, I was a little nervous about the prospect, but it went off without a hitch.

Held at Teesside University's Darlington Campus, we enjoyed a day of sharing our knowledge and expertise as an inbound marketing agency, plus learnt a lot about the major challenges of different industries.

We were gratefully received by their staff and also enjoyed a scrummy meal at lunch - yay!

The day started with refreshments and networking, before we went straight in, discussing various stages of the attract and convert process (below) including content creation, PR, email marketing and keyword marketing.

Our first important step is of course a strong, functional brand and website - if you don't have those you're wasting your time with marketing (eek)!

Soon came lunchtime and I was gathering pace, before the huge subject that is social media marketing, which went down really well with the audience.

We provided lots of materials and hopefully enough food for thought for attendees to act upon what they learnt.

At the end of the day, I was relieved to put my feet up and rest my voice, but it was an incredible experience and I'd like to thank all that came!
