Instagram is a great platform for capturing the excitement of fans and with current trends. This also makes it a great place to implement visual business campaigns!

The platform might seem fairly rigid but there are many ways to put your visual and creative documents on show for the world to see.

The photo sharing - and video sharing - platform can be great for promoting goods, services and certain elements of your team or company ethos.

Did you know...? 90% of information transmitted to the brain is visual, and visuals are processed 60,000X faster in the brain than text.

That is why using a visual social media platform like Instagram is beneficial for campaigns.

6 Steps for Creating a Successful Instagram Campaign

1. Do your research

Like with any form of campaign the first thing you need to do it research. Find out what your fans and followers are posting about, this will help your to engage with your audience.

2. Set a goal

What do you want to gain from your Instagram campaign? Is it a bigger online presence? Or exposure of a new product? What ever you want to achieve make sure you plan your campaign on reaching your main goal.

3. Use hashtags selectively

Create a hashtag that is unique to your brand. Don't jump on someone else's bandwagon, that way you will be able to see how many people use your hashtag for your business.

4. The quality is important

Shooting a video or capturing a blurry picture and posting it for a campaign will make your brand look like an amateur, make sure it is visually appealing.

5. Promote your competition

Make sure you get peoples attention, as people will not be able to enter your competition if they do not know it exists! So share your competition on other social media platforms, let your existing customers know with an email or a letter, get the word out there.

6. Make it appealing to your target audience

If your campaign doesn't attract your actual target market than it will not work. If your potential client is around 50+ years old, then the chances are your barking up the wrong tree with a Instagram campaign...
